You Make This All Go Away...
Or rather, I make this all go away.
Today was the day to drag down the rest of the Halloween decorations. I yanked down the stuff in the entryway yesterday afternoon, but left the window displays for today just because I could. I got up and got some coffee going while the wife showered and dressed for her day. She had some online rat-killing to get into, so I popped in the earbuds and listened to a couple episodes of the Ken P. D. Snydecast while I took everything down and sorted it into its various storage spots, be that the cabinets in the den or the storage room of the garage. The wife split for her errands, I continued with my project and the next thing I know, it's after 1:00 in the afternoon.
The wife got home, we caught up a bit while I sat down and rested after finally getting the last bit of things put away. I left the wife piddling with a few things around the house so that I could go and drop off all the recycling stuff that'd piled up the past week or so, another project that I'd been ignoring. I also took the time to pick up a late lunch for myself, as I was rather peckish in the mid-afternoon after dragging all that shit around all morning with nothing in my system but coffee.
I chilled in the den back home to eat and watched Enter The Ninja off the old TiVo, as I was in the mood for something to decompress from all the horror films of last month. This wacky-ass movie starring Franco Nero was just the ticket, just silly enough to be amusing and keep me interested in where it was going when it got too heavy on the 'plot'. I love the fact that Nero's mustache is clearly visible through his ninja mask, way to hide the identity, ass, he looks slightly like a walrus doing martial arts in the closeups! Fun film, thank you cable, as it's never been released in DVD in the states.
The wife had some sort of evening meeting to deal with some bullshit drama with one of her non-profits, so I was left to my own devices for most of the early evening. I spent some time cleaning up the TiVo of some deadwood that'd been hanging around, useless suggestions or things I'm just never going to get around to watching, that sort of thing.
The wife got home around 8:00 and we watched the new Heroes and caught up on last week's 30 Rock, and a few other short programs before calling it a night.
I'm beat and have been up much later than I intended writing this shite, as I hadn't been online all day and easily got distracted with other crap while trying to hunt and peck this out.
I'm out kids.
Be seeing you.
